Job Description

Dowerin is a scenic two hour drive along Pioneers Pathway (north east of Perth) and is a real escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. Dowerin is known for its high quality facilities, great community spirit and is home to one of the largest, most successful events in the State.

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, this position has a leadership role in the organisation and offers specialist support to Council, the Chief Executive Officer and management team.

To be successful in this position, applicants must have demonstrated experience in asset management and road planning, construction and maintenance, budget and financial control, team management and project management. The successful applicant will work closely with the CEO and finance team to ensure road funding opportunities are maximised and managed to successful acquittal. To meet the challenges associated with maintaining and improving our asset base a rewarding and challenging opportunity is offered as this position is also responsible for Council’s waste, fleet and community facilities.

A contract term of 3 years with an attractive remuneration package of up to $154,569 per annum is being offered which includes a base salary between $100,000 to $110,000 plus private use of a fully maintained Shire vehicle, superannuation and accommodation (or a housing allowance).
